Media Battle: SEA Games 2011

As a proud Pinoy sports enthusiast, I am elated to know that top media conglomerates vie in sports coverage and exposure for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games in Indonesia on November 11-22, 2011.

This is a major leap for local media coverage since the 2005 edition where we hosted the biennial event and finished as overall champion.

Last 2007 edition in Thailand, NBN4 solely covered the event where we only rested 6th among 11 participating nations. Two years later in Laos 2009 SEA Games, IBC13 joined NBN4 as our broadcast channels where the country improved one notch to 5thplace.

Now, Philippine pride will be reborn through sports. Well, credit to Azkals Football, Dragonboat Team, Gilas Basketball, and our elite athletes in Boxing, Billiards, and more. Because of them (and of course media), sports has never been in demand.

As our athletes take pride to represent the country, be proud, support, and enjoy SEA Games through extensive multimedia coverages from TV5, ABS-CBN, and Solar Entertainment.

The coverage said to be officially endorsed by the Philippine Olympic Committee and Philippine Sports Commission as SEA Games broadcast partner in the country.

MVP as one of Philippine sports godfathers ensures this coverage and even donated Php 10 million for the campaign of our athletes.

More extensive in terms of covering number of sporting events.

Some football games will not be telecast LIVE.

The largest network means a multi-platform sports coverage: ABS-CBN, Studio 23, Balls, ANC, DZMM TeleRadyo

"Lakas Pinas" is the official coverage/program title.

More extensive in terms of audience reach in the Philippines and the world.

Boast its LIVE telecast in all football group stages matches of the PHL.
